A youth spent in building sites and abandoned lots led to a life long exploration of industrial ruins, and the people who inhabit them.

On a field trip to Melbourne, Australia, I scoured the post industrial fringes of the city, where I met a man who lived at the old Carlton brewery. He had left his family ; they did not know his whereabouts. I took his photograph and sent it to his wife.

Another man, a Gulf War Veteran, asked to be photographed too.
